Where Were You

Where were you when I felt my confidence dwindle, when I was just full of self-doubt.  My face and my hair, while I knew they were there, I was visually doing without.  Time it was to go out the door, and make myself exit the house, but nervous I was, as Yoda would say, will I turn out to be man or a mouse?  Where were you to calm down my soul, to make all my worries be past, you cost me a bundle and Windex and wiping, my mirror made mostly of glass?
